Hello fellow savage owners,
I have just turned over 15,000 miles on the savage and lots of mods have been made. The one thing i have found is that the supertrapp is
a great muffler and potential is already there.
the bike runs lean from the factory but it is
advised that you should atleast have your needle
raised for a bit less fuel restriction. This will prove to preform much better and noticable. by running to lean you create more heat which is more horsepower however is more damaging to your piston also is where that gold discoloring comes
from. Running to rich turns your pipe blue fouls
sparkplugs and creates some other long term problems. So we need to be at full potential
with our happy litle mark. Answer: supertrapp
5 disc with an open end cap and have the needle
shimmed open.
